I work in IT and really enjoy the job I do, I am not one of those proper geeks that can’t talk to people without confusing them, and I am not weird either. (just waiting for comments to tell me different!) Anyway when The IT Crowd came out on Channel 4 Recently, our team found it really funny, but yesterday we were involved in a proper IT Crowd moment, we were working away fixing wallports in the same room as people were having a party! I’ve got over it now… honest.

Today was really intresting though, we have some new laptops at work and we were testing wireless which we don’t use for certain reasons but we just playing around, if you have your own wireless network, do one thing and one thing only, TURN YOUR SECURITY ON! We found a connection with no security, which meant we could use that persons router to surf net, but then we got into the router and could have changed all of the passwords and locked them out of their own piece of kit, we then managed to get only one password away from access to the C drive. We don’t go looking for things like this, but some people do, it just shows how careful you have to be….
