Doing well on the old Gamerscore so far. I’m nearly three weeks in and have jumped quite a few points already, most recently (about 40 mins ago) I got another 25 pts in the brilliant Arcade game Cloning Clyde putting my gamerscore up to 5588. It’s been fun doing this as it has made me go back to games I haven’t played in a while and do my best to try beat them.
You might think I am a bit sad doing this but it’s really only a bit of fun, plus I wouldn’t want to end up like this guy…
Today was Emergance Day. For most people who don’t use a 360, you’ll have no idea what I am on about but if you do then you will. Gear of Wars was re
leased today, its the most anticipated game on the xbox. Two of us from work headed over to Virgin Megastore from work to see if they had any demos going, which they did.
I can’t wait to get my hands on this as it is a great game, the graphics are very impressive as well as the cinematic cut scenes. It’s a bit gory but overall looks like it will be good fun. Hopefully this will be knocking Halo 2 off the top of the multiplayer charts.
I got myself Pro Evo 5 for my PSP today but whilst I was in Computer Exchange, this kid who could have been no more twelve came up to me and asked me to buy him an 18-Rated DVD. Obviously I told him where to go, but I am sure some idiot would have done it eventually. Was I being an old fuddy duddy? I don’t think I was and Pete agreed with me, what do you think?
My next “Boy” project started over the weekend, Operation Gamerscore. I’ve been looking at a few different sites to see how stats shape in terms of my game playing on the xbox 360. Out of the games I own, I have only fully completed one of them, which is pretty poor!
I have quite a good gamerscore of just over 5000 but I wanted to see how much I could get my score up in the next 6 Months to a year. It’s taken me just under a year to reach 5000 so 10000 by next year is my overall target but for now I am aiming for 7500 as soon as possible, I reckon I can get it by the end of February and I’ll be updating the blog and this page on my progress.
It’s nearly Christmas and that can mean only one thing… more Gadgets! This time last year I bagged an xBox 360 (in case you didn’t know ;)) and my new Sony Digital Camera (to replace my stolen one) This year we
are in desperate need of a new laptop and I am getting my first proper SLR Camera, the Canon 400D.
I am really looking forward to getting this camera and coming up with some new projects to go off and take photos at. I’ve got some really nice photos but I think I would be able to get even better photos with an SLR.
Choosing a camera was easy, I wanted a 350D but have enough money for a 400D so I will go for that but choosing a laptop was always going to be difficult.
I had been pretty much set on getting a HP laptop as they seemed to be the best in terms of price, ability and look, but it looks like Sony have won through on this occasion. The FE31H has all the thngs you would expect, Dual Core, Big HD and RAM with wireless, this also comes with Windows Media Center, which I don’t know an awful lot about, but I know that I will be able to stream music and photos through to the xBox. Hopefully will get this all in the next few weeks which will be really cool.

Thats it - The Big Trip is finally coming to end, after tonight’s flight we’ll have flown 23000 miles, visited 3 countries, stayed in 3 Hostels and 5 Hotels. We have had a fantastic time and are now looking forward to getting back.
A has done lots of shopping as the clothes are so cheap, she even got a little present from Tiffany @ Raffles! I got my PSP so we’ll have things to play with when we are at the airport. Singapore was a cool place even though we didn’t really get around that much, their version of the tube is so much better than ours and all of the cab drivers are very friendly (even if they have no idea where they are going!)
Our flight tonight is 14 hours which is going to be really tough but if it was like our flight to Singapore it will be really good. Quantas are starting to introduce on demand for their in-flight entertainment which means you can watch films when you want rather than waiting for the tape to rertart, They should have a whole host of new movies for november or I’ll have to watch the same old stuff
Anyway, see you back in England!
