Back to work already!

How quick did Christmas go? I’m sitting here at work on lunch and thought I would do a quick post. It’s really horrible being back and work has been very bust today. It’s only me in but as usual everything has fallen over in the past few days and it all needs sorting out. On top of that our Big Boss is in and he wants to do everything in these two days! Sods law I believe….

Christmas was good though, lots of great presents, including books and CD’s and Family Guy Season 4 :). I got Gears of War for the xBox 360 which is brillaint but will put out a review on that soon.

There was lots of good TV on which kept me and A enterained, we even had a Boys vs. Girls event which was made up of Buzz! (music) Scarbble, Blow Football, Chocolate Monopoly and then Buzz! (General Knowledge). A went 2-0 up but unlike the English cricket team, I came flying back to win 3-2, which makes A a L-O-S-E-R!

Yesterady we visited the Science Museum to see the Game on! exhibition which was really good, seeing all the old machines and getting to play them, eventually moving through to a 5 Min Demo on the PS3. I was the only person to finish 1st on the Demo Race which was quite cool.

It was then time for Sales shopping where A managed to bag a pair of Jimmy Choo’s which has put a huge smile on her face and she can’t wait to show them off! In the new Year she will start writing her own posts on this blog so the standard of writing should go up…

Any that’s the “Quick” Post done, suppose I had better go do some work!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

About time too!

Hleb ScoresIt was going to happen, I just knew it. I was even telling my Dad about half an hour before kick off, that Arsenal were due to give someone a thrashing and with 5 minutes to go we score 3 against Blackburn to make the final score 6-2. It was good to see RVP getting a couple of goals as well as seeing Gilberto scoring again! He is the second highest goalscorer. We seem to be doing ok without Henry, though it will be nice to get him back.
So that’s set us off nicely for Christmas, games against Watford, Sheff Utd and Charlton should see us get at least 9 Points.

In the other games Chelsea were lucky (again), Man U scored 3 against Villa and Spurs lost against Newcastle :). Time to see the goals on MOTD.

The xBox 360 Blog

360 BlogOne of my favourite tools that I use woth the xBox 360 is 360voice.com. Which takes information to do with my GamerTag and produces a blog from my 360!

I haven’t used it in a while, but they have made some really nice changes to the site, an example of what it goes on about is:

Someone ask for a weekly recap? Even if you didn’t, here it is: DaveMoran played 6 days this week… pretty solid if you ask me… I’m not that picky. We added 230 points of gamerscore. Good stuff! Who knew 6 achievements could be worth that much? Ok I knew that… Also, by my expert calculations, DaveMoran’s favorite game this week was WWE SVR 2007. He played it on 5 of the days.

That’s all for now… keep reading the blog! Send us a PM or a game invite if you are lonely.

I’ve added a link to the blogroll so people can see what’s going on….

It’s a bit late as it’s already 18 days in but you can start to catch up, here is a great advent calendar with games facts and all sorts, our favourite in the office is Day 4 and the Record is 353.3m! - Advent Calendar

Off to the grotto

Working on Oxford Street has advantages and disadvantages, one of these advanatges is that Banksy has set up his Santa’s Ghetto here this year. It opened during VIP day last Saturday and shuts on Christmas Eve. I am not a massive art fan but have always liked his stuff.

The Exhibition is good and if you get a chance you should go.

VIP Day

Saturday was a day for VIP’s (Very Important Pedestrians). Oxofrd and Regent Streets were both closed to the traffic for the day to allow crowds of shoppers to snap up Christmas goodies like there’s no tomorrow.Reindeer

The roads were not only full of shoppers, there were lots of little events going on up and down the street. At Nike Town for example two players from the Arsenal Ladies team were there to answer questions and take part in a penalty shoot out, whilst Arsenal Hammered Tottenham in the background (shame that). Hamleys was packed out, to the point were it looked like they had bouncers letting people in and out. The highlight was Jade Goody signing boxes of her new perfume (that was a joke).
It was announced that at some time in the future Oxford Street would become pedestrianised permanently which would only be a good thing.

Snake eats Gator

I’ve been meaning to blog about this ever since I saw it, is this the best news item on the BBC this year?

Snake bursts after gobbling gator
1.jpg
An unusual clash between a 6-foot (1.8m) alligator and a 13-foot (3.9m) python has left two of the deadliest predators dead in Florida’s swamps.

The Burmese python tried to swallow its fearsome rival whole but then exploded.

It’s a shame there isn’t a video really! 21 Days until Christmas can you believe it?
