For the past month I’ve slowly been building up my running, I’ve not managed beyond two miles but they have all been pain free, a good sign!
I’ve mostly just been doing treadmill work and spending more time working on the foam roller *cries*, improving my hamstring strength and I’ve also start lifting weights, though being the shy person I am I’ll only do weights when it’s quiet! I’ve done a couple of road runs while on on holiday in Cornwall and they felt ok, I just feel very slow at the moment but I’m glad I’m doing something.
I’ve been saving up over the past couple if months and finally this weekend I had enough to pick up the Garmin Forerunner 220. I liked the 10 but it was pain having to sync runs on a PC, the fact I can do it all through my phone is a big plus. I’ll write a review in a couple of weeks once I’ve had more time to use it.
Goals for September
I’ve run 11 miles (17.6 km) in the past two months, this month I’m hoping to double that, but only time will tell!
