Despite my iPod playing up more than ever, I’m still trying to listen to as much music as I can. Having little Max around the house means we have been listening to even more than usual as it helps him fall asleep!

Here’s a quick roundup of the latest tunes that have been rocking my pod…

Snow Patrol

Possibly my favourite band now, they have just released their 3rd album, A Hundred Millions Suns and it’s another great album. My favourite songs on it are Take Back the City, If There’s a Rocket Fly Me To It and Engines. There isn’t a huge anthem like Chasing cars but it’s still great to listen to.

Fall Out Boy

I got this album in January and still listen to it all the time, there are lots of cool rocking songs on here and even a piano ballad called Golden which is really good, I picked up their other albums because I liked it so much! If there is one song you need to listen to it’s This Ain’t a Scene, It’s a God Damn Arms Race.

Oasis

They are still going strong, Dig out your soul is their best album for a while. My Favourite songs are, Shock of The Lightning, Waiting For The Rapture and Falling down..

There is so much more music that we have been listening to but they have been mainly singles such as:

  • No Air - Jordan Sparks feat. Chris Brown
  • Up - The Saturdays
  • Disturbia - Rhianna
  • The Man who Can’t be moved - The Script
  • So What - P!nk
  • The Promise - Girls Aloud

It was footy league night last night with the dads from FFJ360.com, after my disappointing defeat to stodgypudding last week I really need to get back on top of things in my next match against Greenie. This week we had to play as Nottingham Forest and it was long before I was 1-0 down.

I spent the rest of the half trying to get back into the game when Greenie’s lot went down to 10 men, I got us back on level terms then halfway through the second half took the lead, but Greenie got straight back in the game after a moment of madness from me as I totally mis-timed a tackle  in the box and gave away a penalty, I almost saved it as well!

In the final minute Greenie broke free, I decided to play fair and not bring him down but luckily he hit the post and them game ended in a 2-2 draw.

Little bit annoying to lose 5 points over the past 2 games but hopefully I will get back on track next week….

I was lucky enough to get tickets for Arsenal vs Wigan on Tuesday night and it was a brilliant game. 2 Goals for Jay Simpson, 1 for Carlos Vela (which was brilliant) and one of the best saves I have seen from Lucas Fabianski made it a brilliant match to watch, goals and highlights from Arsenalist for those who misssed it.

What Shall I do? Get the Nokia N96 or the iPhone?

This is the question I have been asking myself over the past week. Both are great in their own way which just makes thing harder to decide!

I currently own the Nokia N95 and the iPod Touch, obviously if I decided to get the iPhone I would only need to carry one device. I’d love to have free wifi all over the place (which is what you will get on O2) as I could update everything, everywhere. My iPod touch has been really buggy though and it has really ruined such a cool device. I’d also have to wait until March and change networks again….

In favour of the N96 is a better camera (5mp), cheaper to run and most importantly a version of the BBC iPlayer that will allow me to store shows on the phone to watch! Even thought the screen is smaller it would still be perfect for on the hundreds of train journeys I make each year….

So as you can see, I really can’t make my mind up about what to do. My phone is due for upgrade on the 28th November so I have some time to decide, what do you think?
